On the 27th of every month, a sumptuous lunch is served to the children at the Pediatric ward.
An ambulance was donated to the Palliative care unit of the Cancer Institute and MMT has also taken the responsibility of paying for the driver and also have a doctor (paid by MMT) to make house calls.
Five movies have been screened for the patients of the general ward in the months of Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan.
Every month three children are identified and Rs 30,000 is paid from the MMT coffers for their treatment.
Christmas was celebrated with great enthusiasm. There was fun and frolic and children danced around a well-decorated Christmas tree. The children's ward was decorated to a T. Gifts were distributed and the children ate a sumptuous meal.

On New Year's, 350 patients had crisp mixtures, laddu and milky biscuits - courtesy MMT.
Outreach programme - 150 women working in a garment factory were educated on cancer awareness by Dr Meenakshi Rajan. This was followed by a one-hour workshop on early detection, which was a very interactive session.
MMT supported financially the Cancer Institute when it had a mega exhibition on cancer awareness - a 3-day exhibition was held in the city and it was a great success. The general public as well as schools and colleges attended it.
